Ajax midfielder Ismail Aissati has revealed that he wants to leave the club after his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
The Netherlands-born Morocco international joined Ajax in 2008, but has failed to establish himself as a member of the first team, having spent last season on loan at Vitesse and making just four league appearances for the Amsterdam giants this term.
The 23-year-old announced his desire to leave the club when his contract runs out, setting his sights on a move to Spain, but he insists he is fully committed to the Eredivisie champions and will make a decision on his future at the end of the season.
If I leave, I would prefer to play for a team with a similar style to Ajax, the former PSV player told De Telegraaf.
Not in the Netherlands, though, I think it is time for me to go abroad. La Liga would be my first choice.
I hope to play as much as possible for Ajax before the end of the season. Then I will decide on what I m going to do when my contract expires.
Aissati has made just 29 league appearances for the club over the past four seasons.
